Crown Sydney Receives Approval for Casino Operations

Crown Resorts is delighted to share that the New South Wales Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) has granted permission for gaming activities to begin at the eagerly awaited Crown Sydney.

However, access won’t be granted to everyone immediately. The authorization includes a stipulation: Initially, Crown Sydney will function as a private, members-only venue for gaming. This period of exclusivity is projected to continue until the year’s end, December 31st, 2023.

Throughout this timeframe, Crown will be subject to the close scrutiny of both the ILGA and their autonomous overseer, Kroll Associates. Consider it a trial run where Crown must demonstrate they have rectified their practices and are enacting the agreed-upon changes.

This green light represents a pivotal achievement, marking the culmination of extensive collaboration with the ILGA, in addition to other state and national regulatory entities. Crown has been undertaking a comprehensive transformation of its operations as a component of its reformation initiative.
