BCorp Secures Exclusive 18-Year Contract to Operate Vietnam’s Computerized Lottery System

A prominent gaming corporation, BCorp, has achieved a significant victory in Vietnam by obtaining an exclusive, long-term agreement spanning eighteen years to manage the nation’s computerized lottery system. This triumph is particularly noteworthy as the existing lottery provider, Vietlott, operates under the purview of Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance.

To execute this endeavor, BCorp is collaborating with its subsidiary, BToto, and a technology firm named Berjaya GTI. The partnership is committing a substantial investment of $2.1 billion to the project, which will commence operations in Ho Chi Minh City and subsequently extend its reach throughout the country.

The inaugural offering, a lotto jackpot game, is scheduled to debut by the middle of 2016, followed by the introduction of an online platform. The consortium aims to establish a network of approximately 10,000 lottery terminals within a five-year timeframe.

BCorp expresses strong confidence in the success of this undertaking, citing the extended contract duration, the formidable barriers to entry for competitors, and the generally limited competition as key factors contributing to their optimistic outlook. This strategic move into Vietnam’s lottery sector is anticipated to yield substantial financial gains for BCorp.
