FanDuel Relaunches Sports Betting Platform in West Virginia

FanDuel Group has reintroduced its online sports wagering platform in West Virginia, collaborating with Scientific Games. This marks the initial state to go live on the platform since FanDuel’s parent company, Flutter, revealed they would be moving the brand to this platform.

FanDuel has been providing sports wagering in West Virginia since 2019, but the revamped product is driven by Scientific Games, not International Game Technology (IGT).

OpenBet is also utilized to power sports wagering platforms for Flutter brands in other areas, including Betfair, Sky Bet, and Paddy Power in Europe, and Sportsbet in Australia.

This relaunch comes after Flutter’s announcement in August that they would be transferring all their sports betting brands to the OpenBet solution that fuels their Paddy Power Betfair division. This was carried out following the integration of The Stars Group business.

FanDuel previously utilized IGT’s PlaySports solution for betting and GAN for online casino.
